[APP] [CM12] Minimal and Standard Gapps (gapps-lp-20150107-1-signed.zip) topic

This thread is created to provide bugfix releases of the official CM12 gapps found on http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps

*All addon packages include backup scripts to automatically restore gapps after applying rom updates.

Note: The standard and minimal gapps packages in this thread will not replace any stock CM applications or libraries. Additional addon packages for lollipop (Google Calendar, Google Exchange, Google Keyboard) have been created for replacing some of the stock CM applications.

Note: These gapps packages are compatible with all resolution devices.

* The minimal version of gapps contains only base Google apps, framework and libraries. All other Google apps can be installed from Play Store after installing the minimal gapps package. The standard gapps package contains the following additional packages: CloudPrint, Gmail, Text to Speech, Hangouts, Talkback, and Google Search.

First time installation instructions:

1) Reboot into recovery
2) Format /system (no other wipes needed)
3) Install ROM
4) Install new gapps packages
5) Install other optional packages (supersu, custom kernel, etc.)
6) Reboot recovery to Android

Note: Notice how formatting /system removes all of the backup scripts in /system/addon.d and prevents them from executing. Removing the old backup scripts in /system/addon.d prevents them from interfering with the installation of the new version of gapps. This procedure is only necessary if the previous version of gapps contains backup scripts that dont match the backup scripts of the current version of gapps. If you are not sure, its best to just do this one time to make sure its a clean installation. You will not lose any personal settings or data when formatting the /system because all settings and data are stored on other partitions, which we will not touch.
