|TOOL|[LINUX] AUTOMATIC PIC BACKUP SCRIPT
AUTOMATICALLY BACKS UP YOUR CAMERA FOLDER TO YOUR LINUX PC

AUTOMATED BACKUP TO LOCAL STORAGE (AND BEYOND)!!

Pretty straightforward, just a bash script that will back up your camera folder when you plug in your phone. The script is ADB dependent, so if you don't have adb installed, this obviously will not work. You can set the script to run on boot or when adb device is attached with crontab or UDEV rules. Otherwise, just execute it in terminal below root level. (root level install will work, but will store pics in root home folder unless you change the script)

INSTRUCTIONS

Start script before plugging in your phone, otherwise you will have to unplug and replug to initiate backup. Once you plug in your phone, the backup will begin. The script will separate pics and videos into two folders on your desktop. The backup will run once every time you plug in your phone, and remain idle the rest of the time. Feel free to add or suggest any mods. I am not a bash expert, so I won't be offended. The only limits are bash itself.
