I bought a nexus 6 att version... Only calling and text work on my verizon sim...Unlock network sim code keeps poping up..Do 8 need to purchase a code from somewhere or is there another way to get data to work? If i have to purchase code can someone point me in the direction were to get the code and it actually work..

Hi, this is my first post so be forgiving :D
Just few weeks ago I've received new phone - Lumia 620 (I had 610 earlier). I had "some" experience with flashing my nokias and now I'm pretty intrested in modifying WP 8.1. I know this OS is closed and can be unlocked only partly for sideloading apps but I'm wondering if there's any way to change unlocking method or turn it off. What I mean? I mean unlocking phone by swiping just like in android not from down to up but from left to right or even by maze lock. I saw few apps in windows store, but they work only when screen is unlcoked whitch means i have to "lock" the screen by clicking notification which just makes screen black and "unlocks" phone after double tap. And there is my question: Can I turn off lockscreen? Btw. I saw this thread and I'm wondering if this app is just making interactive background or modifies system fiels so I can for example change unlock method?

How did developers manually unlock bootloaders? topic

As the thread name states, how did devs unlock bootloaders before companies provided bootloader unlocking methods? I'm not looking for a tutorial, just a point in the right direction. I have the ZTE ZMAX and I can't even enter the bootloader in the first place. "Adb reboot-bootloader" simply restarts the device.

Of the above is too difficult to answer, does anyone know how to access the bootloader if the button combos and the adb commands don't work? I'm sure this isn't the first phone to face this obstacle, so I figured I would ask for some help.

[Q&A] Downgrade 4.4.4 to 4.3 and sim unlock i9505 topic

Dear fellas,

A friend of mine gave me yesterday his phone, asking if I could unlock his carrier lock.
I found several tutorials where this can be achieved through *#0011# menu, but unfortunately the phone currently runs CM11 4.4.4 and that menu does not work.

Can anyone please help me understand what is the correct procedure and files I need to downgrade to stock 4.3 and unlock the sim?
I am familiar with Odin and flashing/back-up procedures, but the very big amount of bootloader/kernel/roms variants, un-restorable bootloaders and stuff just make me more confused.
I am trying not to brick the device, downgrading has always been a weird thing to do.

I found this thread but I am not sure which I should use for a proper process.

[Q] Unable to unlock bootloader topic

Hi,
I tried to unlock my bootloader via flash tool, but for some reason, my rooting status (my bootloader) is unknown (before was unlockable). I relocked and unlocked it again but still no luck. I flashed the latest firmware with flashtool.. but my bootloader's status is still unknown. The device is rooted and verified. What i must to do to have back bootloader to unlockable?
Please help..

Custom unlock method topic

I'd like to build a custom screen unlocker with my own unlock method (no sliding). I have different ideas, so let's just assume I'd like to reimplement the 4 digit pin unlock method at first. I've found some hack solutions, which open an app on pressing the power button. But they can't disable the home key, so I can access the phone without knowing the pin number. Some other sources claim, it's not possible without writing a custom loader. So how come, there are so many apps on the store that offer exactly this feature? Can someone please direct me in the right direction?

Power button Not working + unable to unlock using Double Tap to Wake up. topic

The power button on my device does not unlock my phone (it is working well otherwise) also If I try to unlock using double tap to wake up, it does not happen. Here is what I did before this problem started:
I had stock CM11s (bootloader unlocked + rooted+TWRP), I backed up the ROM using TWRP. Then, I wanted to try out a few ROMs and hence I flashed MIUI Patchrom, then after using it for a few hours I flashed ColorOS by relic242, I used it for a day and then I flashed LiquidSmooth Lollipop current build. Then in the end I restored my CM11s using the TWRP restore. My oneplus logo is now red, please help me undo this. Also, I am having the unlocking problem which I described above.

Update: If I turn "prevent accidental wake up" off, the power button and double tap works, but if I turn it on these doesn't. Still buggy !

[Q] How to disable Phone Application starting after screen unlock? topic

Hi, All!
I am looking for a way to change what application starts when I unlock the screen in Lollipop.
After I have updated my Nexus 5 to Andorid 5 with standard OTA the Phone Application starts all the time after screen is unlocked.
It is pretty annoying not able to find in menus and settings where this behavior can be changed.
Googled but IMHO the keywords are very general.
I do remember it was Home Screen at one point before update to Lollipop and this would be good enough. Factory reset is not desirable.
Anyone can help or have same issue?

[Q] Galaxy Note 2 Unlock HELP! topic

Oh Dear, what have I done?

I have an old galaxy note 2 that I am trying to set up with a new sim card for my boss. I have an unlock code from three mobile, the new EE sim card and have followed the unlock instructions from Three Mobile. New card went in, turned phone on in readiness for what they described as "The handset will display an empty text field and request the 'SIM network unlock PIN", but the phone never got passed the first bit of booting up, just displaying "Samsung Galaxy Note 2" in whit writing on a black background.

I have tried: putting old sim back in, turning it on with no sim, doing a hard reset with no sim, old sim, new sim and any conceivable option or variant, but in all cases seems to end up at the same screen. To add insult to injury, the bosses old has now transferred onto the new sim/contract, so he is without a phone and I'm going to start looking for a new job...

How bad is this? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Hi guys, i hope you can help me with this one.
I bought a D802 from AliExpress, but when i tried entering my sim i found out it couldn't get any signal even though it works just fine on my nexus 4.
i tried 2945#*802# to check the sim unlock process and got the next message: "The phone is permanently locked and can not be unlocked".
I can't enter an unlock code even if i want to. It doesn't give me the option. i can only dismiss the message.
I tried factory reset, rom switching, and radio flashing, none of them worked.
I opened a dispute in Aliexpress, but in the meanwhile i want to try and unlock it anyway, and maybe save the trouble of buying a new one and wait for a month all over again.

Can anyone help and maybe knows how to bypass it?

I have got unlock code from ATT to unlock my device to use the phone out side ATT network. Right now I am on lollipop ROM and when I insert a different sim and enter the code it says cannot unlock.

Do I need to be on stock rom to use the unlock code?

Hello you lot.

I have been trying to unlock a GT-I9505 from the 3UK network with no luck. I can't seem to get a code for it although I have paid two companies to do it so far and the FastGSM unlock USB server software that I prefer to use says that I need to downgrade the security firmware from ME1 to a previous version to continue.
Can anyone point me in the right direction here as I'm not sure what I am looking for. I currently have TWRP recovery installed and I am running the Omega ROM.
Any help much welcomed.
