[Q] How to update HTC One M8 Vzw hboot 3.16 to current? topic

I am attempting to update my hboot from 3.16 to the current (which I think is 3.19) and I am just not having any luck finding what I need to do. I'm not new to Android at all, just HTC. Is there a firmware.zip that can be used for this in fastboot?

I am trying to update to the newest TWRP so I can flash CM12. I did get TWRP 2.8.x.x flashed but was stuck at the rebooting into recovery screen. Rolled back to 2.7.0.2 for now.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-...-3-16-t2986339 I found this thread for the AT&T version, but I know the VZW is a little different. Is there a developer edition for VZW?

Flashing Nandroid to different Hboot topic

Hi, so my HTC One m7 is about 18 months old and has the purple haze camera fault. I recently went into the shop to talk about my warranty options regarding this and they've said No problem, HTC will send a brand new HTC one m7 and mine gets sent off.

My current Hboot is 1.54.

So, once receiving the new device, I assume it'll have a different Hboot. So after I unlock and root, can I just restore a Nandroid from my old device or will I run into issues?

Thanks

[Q] HBOOT not working? topic

Whenever I go into fastboot, it says HBOOT and it keeps updating, no matter what. I have no idea what to do at this point. Any suggestions?

Easy trick to S-OFF for those who have TMOBO10 and HBoot 2.15 topic

Hi everyone, I am fairly new to doing all this, but for last three days or so, I've been really frustrated due to not getting S-OFF on my HTC one s ville. I want to run Sense 6 ROM by Liberty, but was having lot of problems, so someone suggested I try to get S-OFF. I tried rumrunner like 5 times, but failed. Tried installing other ROMs and did it again, still failed, but this what did it.

1) FIRST, flash the following ROM (CM11S_ville_2.15_v3.1_kk-final, from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-...one-s-t2869703), it has its own Kernel, so just flash the boot.img as usual and flash the ROM.
2) Now go ahead and restart your phone and activate the debugging, etc. Also make sure SuperSu is in there, if not, then go ahead flash that again, then restart your phone and open the app to activate it.
3)HERE IS THE KEY NOW --> CHANGE YOUR KERNEL TO THIS --> bubba_kernel-2014-07-26_Ville (get it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2134535). Download it from Post# 2 at the bottom under Donate and FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM POST #4
4), go ahead and let the phone turn on. Make sure SuperSu is still there and activated. Also set screen timeout to maximum, so it doesn't go blank on you, DEACTIVATE all screen locks as well.
4) Make sure all your drivers are up to date (FOLLOW all the instructions on http://rumrunner.us/instructions/)
5) Tip --> Follow this video step by step (key is to make a separate folder which has rumrunner and drivers together).
6) Run the rumrunner and don't forget to disable your antivirus software and firewell in your computer.

I am sure this will simply get you S-OFF easily.

It just needs an "unsecure kernel" and this one does the job :).

[Guide] Sprint Htc One | HBOOT 1.57 | Works with AT&T topic

First off, I had absolutely no luck with any of the other methods mentioned on the forum, so I decided to write up how I (finally) managed to get my HTC one to work with an AT&T GoPhone sim card.

1.) Get Sunshine for S-Off, I wasted 3 days trying to find a way around paying for it, but finally caved.
2.) SuperCID: fastboot oem writecid 11111111
3.) Flash the RUU from this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2586704 or here: http://click.xda-developers.com/api/...651.10_RUU.zip
- I had to fastboot oem rebootRUU then fastboot flash zip RUU.zip
- Check to be sure HBOOT is downgraded to 1.44
4.) Be sure to root the device, either using custom recovery or TWRP app from play store
5.) Run the sim unlock helper available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...5&d=1414183159
6.) Here's the one part that isn't widely mentioned for the specific issue I ran into with this unlock: You need a sprint sim card to "trick" the phone into searching for networks.
- Type in *#*#INFO#*#* (*#*#4636#*#*) and change your network to WCDMA preferred
- Be sure that the Sprint sim card is in the phone
- Go to Settings -> Mobile Data -> Network Mode and set to GSM/UMTS Only (You should have no signal or bars with X above them)
- Click on Available GSM networks -> Select Automatically
- Switch the SIM for the AT&T Sim (It will show 'no sim warning') while it is searching and then click on Available GSM networks -> Search networks
- Select AT&T (or Maritime)
- Device will register, however, the settings are lost on restart and I haven't managed to get data yet. (If anyone can help with this, I'd greatly appreciate it!)

How to get fastboot to work on Windows 8.1 with eng hboot 1.39.200 topic

The title pretty much says it all. I have tried every single method on this site to get my computer to recognize my phone while in fastboot mode with no luck. It works in adb mode just fine I can even reboot to boot loader but once it gets there I get "device enumeration failure" or "device not recognized" when I was on the 1.57 hboot it worked just fine so it has to be something with the 1.39 eng hboot but what I'm not sure. If anyone could help or if anyone else has this problem maybe we could help each other in fixing this cause my only other option is downgrading to win7 which I'm not sure I'll be able to do.

[Q] Hboot 1.57 Reboot looop, Help please topic

hi i have a sprint htc one m7 hboot 1.57 s-on and i was trying to get it s-off using firewater, rumrunner, so i installed a cm11 rom with the kernel and my problems began, i decided to relock bootloader to install the stock RUU but everything wiped fom my phone (including sd card, showed can't mount sd) except the twrp recovery, can't use sideload from the recovery because my phone is not recognized from my computer (only fastboot mode (though i can hear the plug in sound on windows), after a long search i found a way to format the sd card partition and my computer recognized the phone so i copied a TWRP backup i made earlier and that way i was able to have a "functional" phone again...but now i have a reboot loop, phone works around 2 min and then reboots and so on... Adb works when phone starts but since its just for a couple of min i can't do much.

i've downloaded the RUU.exe but my computer wont run it (don't know why) so i downloaded the firmware RUU too and copied it to the sd card(when it was working) and flashed it but the loop continues. I once again relocked the bootloader to try to flash the RUU via fastboot, but i get this error:

C:\Users\User\Desktop\adt-bundle-windows-x86_64-20140321\sdk\platform-tools>fast
boot flash zip Stock_Rom_m7wls_5.05.651.2_kk442_sense60.zip
target reported max download size of 1514139648 bytes
sending 'zip' (1202900 KB)...
OKAY [ 47.328s]
writing 'zip'...
(bootloader) signature checking...
FAILED (remote: 12 signature verify fail)
finished. total time: 150.761s

any suggestions? do i have to flash this firmware RUU too? http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2795856

Thanks

Stuck on Hboot screen. topic

To put a long story short, I'm suck on the Hboot screen and I'm not able to put into android.

Here are my Hboot details:
S on
Hboot 1.00.000
Microp-0816
Touch panel-syn07_0105
Radio-7.13.35.05

Also to note, I'm still on stock 2.2

If it's possible to reflash another stock 2.2 that would be enough, I just need my Legend back.

If there are any people still on this forum thread that could help me, please let me know

Thanks in advance.

[Q] Flashed Hex'd HBoot, think I made the file size a little big. Phone doesn't boot topic

Hi there,

Long story short. Im on holidays using a MAC which I am not used to (Windows User). Ran a hex editor to change up some text for the boot loader screen (UNLOCKED to LOCKED) but I think I Hex'd it wrong. I then zipped the hboot.img into the firmware.zip and I flashed it on my phone using:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip

Phone now won't turn on. Im fairly sure I hard bricked it.

Any advice on what I can do to fix it/if I can fix it?
The screen has a pressure crack in the digitizer which I'll be getting fixed through warranty with Optus Australia although I'm fairly sure technicians will see what I've done straight away concerning the software side of things.

Cheers
