[Q] Displaying network throughput while streaming media content... topic

Hi folks. This probably an easy question for media gurus, but it's something that I'm clueless about.

We have a project that I need to stream an MP4 video file from a source android device (Nexus 6) to the Nexus Player, and to be able to display both the streamed video and the throughput of the network as the video is streaming. Is there a quick and dirty way to do this with Chromecast using some hidden menu options/advanced settings? If not, anyone have any suggestions on how to do this (doesn't have to be Chromecast...)
